At Schneider Electric, our values – IMPACCT (Inclusion, Mastery, Purpose, Action, Curiosity, Teamwork) – are the foundation of everything we do. Becoming an Impact Maker means turning sustainability ambitions into actions at the intersection of automation, electrification, and digitization.

Are you ready to lead the digital transformation to create a more sustainable world?

If you are up to challenge your creativity and make an impact, we are excited to welcome you!

Role Summary

Act as a strategic finance partner for the Iberia Zone Solution Center (ZSC), owning a broad portfolio that spans project controlling, end‑to‑end financial processes, compliance and continuous improvement.

This role combines strong financial acumen, advanced analytical capabilities and the ability to act as a true business partner to operational teams. The Senior Project Business Finance Controller plays a central role in safeguarding the integrity of financial processes, steering Sub‑P&L performance, automating and simplifying reporting, and ensuring robust governance and compliance.

  • Project Controlling
  • Lead end‑to‑end project controlling for strategic and high‑impact deals.
  • Provide oversight and financial assurance on the total portfolio, ensuring early detection of deviations, risks, and opportunities without full hands‑on controlling.
  • Actively participate in project reviews, ensuring transparency on project performance, risks, contingencies, and opportunities.
  • Own the preparation and validation of forecasts (Project Forecast at Completion, Monthly Pacing, Rolling Forecast) for strategic deals.
  • Provide actionable financial insights that translate into concrete operational decisions to improve margins and cash generation.
  • Sub‑P&L Ownership & Performance Management
  • Act as the finance owner for a Sub‑P&L, with accountability for topline, gross margin, and overhead absorption.
  • Own provisions, ensuring accuracy, adequate coverage, and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Monitor and enhance key performance metrics across product lines: productivity, cost deviations, cash, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting for the Sub‑P&L scope.
  • Lead monthly closing activities, ensuring strong financial discipline.
  • Financial Processes & Operations Leadership
  • Lead the ZSC's core financial operations, owning the reliability and efficiency of upstream, multi‑product financial processes, including warranty management.
  • Ensure financial processes are standardized, well‑controlled, and scalable.
  • Identify and implement digitalization and simplification opportunities across core financial workflows.
  • Act as a reliable point of reference for cross‑functional teams on financial process matters.
  • Support broader finance transformation initiatives, with a particular focus on data quality and automation.
  • Process Improvement & Implementation
  • Lead the design and implementation of new and improved financial processes across the ZSC, ensuring smooth adoption by finance and operational teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement by mapping end‑to‑end processes, identifying pain points and eliminating manual and non‑value‑added activities.
  • Lead automation and simplification initiatives leveraging digital tools (e.g. Power BI, Excel VBA, Salesforce, AI‑enabled solutions) to enhance efficiency, data quality and reporting.
  • Act as the bridge between business needs and Finance/IT, translating requirements into practical, scalable solutions.
Candidate Profile & Requirements
  • Fluent in Spanish and a good level of English.
  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
  • Proven track record in owning and implementing finance processes, working cross‑functionally with business and IT teams.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (including VBA), Power BI, Tableau and Salesforce.
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, controlling or an equivalent position.
