Job summary

Frontiers is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own a defined product, platform, or workflow area within our publishing ecosystem. You will define the roadmap, collaborate with engineering, design, and operations, and drive end-to-end outcomes.

You will operate within Frontiers' one-platform strategy, delivering scalable, shared workflows and taking ownership of outcomes. You will work across domains from submission to production, AI, or partnerships, with a focus on measurable impact.

Qualifications

• Critical thinking with structured rationale for ambiguous cross-domain problems.
• 5+ years in Product Management, including ownership of a multi-stakeholder or platform-level product.
• Proven ability to gather, document, and unify requirements from multiple demanding stakeholders.
• Comfortable discussing workflows, data, and system design with engineers.
• Track record of turning complex processes into user-centric experiences.
• Experience delivering through other teams and aligning roadmaps toward a shared outcome.
• Able to point to measured changes and outcomes from product work.
• Take ownership without prompting and treat obstacles as solvable problems.
• Background in academic publishing, SaaS platforms, multi-tenant B2B products, or AI/ML is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the roadmap for your product area, balancing user needs, business priorities, and platform constraints into a clear, sequenced plan.
• Gather, document, and reconcile requirements from multiple stakeholders into a coherent, scalable product definition.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, and other product teams to ship your roadmap and manage dependencies.
• Engage directly with authors, editors, reviewers, partners, or internal teams to uncover real needs and validate solutions.
• Propose pragmatic, scalable solutions that maximize shared workflows over bespoke branches.
• Define metrics, track them, and be ready to adjust course based on data.
