New Relic seeks a Principal Product Designer for the UX Platform to be the senior design voice across the platform and Design System. You will partner with the Design Director to tackle hard problems, raise the quality bar, and influence across Product and Engineering.

This role centers on AI-native experiences and evolving AI-first workflows, requiring judicious use of AI to improve design quality while maintaining clarity and coherence. You will mentor designers and drive craft across the team.

Formación

• Extensive product design experience with senior/lead roles on complex software products.
• Portfolio showing depth of craft and systems thinking, with mastery of craft and pattern definition.
• Own ambiguous problems end-to-end with measurable outcomes.
• Comfort designing for AI-native, non-deterministic experiences and evolving AI-first workflows.
• Discerning approach to AI with value focus and quality bar.

Responsabilidades

• Own the most complex and ambiguous design problems across the platform, end-to-end.
• Design for AI-native experiences and shape non-deterministic interfaces.
• Evolve AI-first, spec-driven workflows and evaluate shipping quality.
• Set documentation standards and rationale for reuse by teams and AI tools.
• Act as senior design judgment and SME, deputize for Design Director in reviews.
• Strengthen the link between product design and the Design System.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to align on direction and cadence.
• Mentor designers and raise craft levels across the team.
