• At least 5 years post-graduate work experience in a fire engineering design/consultancy role.
• Excellent understanding of UK fire safety legislation and standards.
• Membership of the Institution of Fire Engineers or Institute for Fire Safety Managers is desirable.

The new Fire Engineering service will work closely with their existing M&E / sustainability services, to deliver comprehensive, interdisciplinary solutions. The role

You will be providing technical fire engineering advice on a range of building types at design, construction and in occupation phases.

Your responsibilities will include :

• Take a lead role in developing and growing the firm’s fire engineering capability
• Fire impact and optimisation analysis
• Design and specification of fire protection systems
• Produce fire strategy documents and fire safety management plans for new and existing buildings
• Advise on fire safety measures at design and construction stages
• Provide technical advice on safe building occupancy levels, fire evacuation plans etc.
• Visit project / construction sites to advise on the installation or implementation of the designs
• Provide strategic industry insights and leadership

Key skills and experience :

• A degree or professional diploma in fire engineering, fire safety engineering or equivalent
• At least 5 years post-graduate work experience in a fire engineering design / consultancy role
• Excellent understanding of UK fire safety legislation and standards
• Membership of the Institution of Fire Engineers or Institute for Fire Safety Managers - desirable
• Significant experience of implementing fire engineering solutions in a range of settings
• Excellent knowledge of the current and emerging fire safety legislation framework
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and growth
