IKEA Ab in Madrid is seeking a Senior Platform Operations Owner for Marketing Activation to lead and scale our Marketing Technology landscape. You will empower product teams, drive DevOps practices, and partner with engineering managers to set up operations across markets.

You bring 5+ years in IT operations, a DevOps mindset, and experience aligning delivery across teams in agile environments. You’ll shape how platforms, SaaS, and home-grown solutions are designed and operated.

The Marketing Activation domain is growing, and we’re looking for a passionate Senior Platform Operations Owner with strong leadership skills and the drive to build and operate our Marketing Technology landscape. You’ll focus on maximising the value, performance, and scalability of the tools and platforms we use and build.

In this role, you will empower and enable product teams to deliver effectively.

You will help us set up operations for our new Planning & Briefing solutions within Marketing Activation.

Your responsibilities

As a Senior Platform Operations Owner, you will have a significant impact on how we set up operations and support for the platform. You will work closely with our suppliers and the Engineering Managers in the domain to develop ways of working to drive development and roll-out of the solutions across all markets.

You thrive in helping others succeed, bringing a collaborative, co-creative approach to projects, and feel comfortable stepping in to be hands on when needed. A DevOps mindset and a focus on continuous growth are key to success here.

Examples of your core responsibilities are:

• Accountable for aligning engineering deliveries across product teams within planning & briefing platforms, identifying and establishing best practices.
• Own platform operations initiatives to improve the technical effectiveness of deliveries
• Align operational monitoring and improve efficiency across product teams
• Own and drive platform support.
• Apply IKEA business model knowledge to guide how technology solutions are designed and operated across the marketing platform landscape
• Act as an ambassador for operational best practices in the sub-domain and acrossthe organisation.

To succeed in this role, you bring the following:

• 5+ years of experience in IT Operations (support/application/infrastructure).
• 5+ years managing operations and maintenance of core systems/solutions.
• Experience working in agile/iterative software development teams with a DevOps working set-up.
• Experience and comfort in working in a Technology landscape that combines Platforms, SaaS and Home-grown solutions.
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders and driving change in bigorganisations

Within Marketing Activation, we are evolving and expanding our capabilities to improve the omnichannel marketing experience.

We have bold goals for our contribution to increasing sales with our Omnichannel communication. The domain covers the overall areas of Planning & Briefing marketing, Audience management, activations in E-mail, SMS, WhatsApp, KakaoTalk, IKEA App messaging, Paid Media, social media, Search Engine Marketing, Search Engine Optimisation, Surveys, Gamification and Performance & Analytics of all the mentioned areas.

Together with peers across Marketing Activation, Growth, and other domains, you will co-create and deliver seamless omnichannel marketing experiences for customers worldwide.

In this role you will report to the Product Engineering Manager for the Marketing Activation domain in Digital Area Growth & Marketing.
