Expedia Group is seeking a Senior Partner Finance Executive to lead a portfolio of major travel partners, manage credit limits, and strengthen financial governance of the credit programme.

The role requires strong analytical ability, excellent negotiation skills, and experience handling multi-currency exposures with cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Product & Tech, and Finance.

Senior Partner Finance Executive

This Senior Partner Finance Executive role sits within the B2B Finance Credit team, acting as a key interface between Sales, Commercial Finance, Partner Finance, Accounting, and Group Treasury. You will support some of our largest global travel partners and play a central role in strengthening the financial governance of our growing credit programme.

This position will suit a candidate with strong analytical capability, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and proven experience managing large and complex partner portfolios (50M+ credit exposure) as well as small travel businesses. You will be a trusted business partner who can influence senior stakeholders internally and externally while confidently assessing financial risk and resolving complex issues.

In this role, you will:

• Lead and manage a portfolio of high-value partners, including complex credit arrangements, significant credit limits and large multi-currency exposures.
• Assess and recommend credit limits through detailed financial analysis, including interpretation of balance sheets, cash flow statements and group structures.
• Build strong, trust-based relationships with major travel partners—acting as their core finance point of contact for risk, payment performance, and commercial discussions.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Product & Tech and Commercial Finance to support strategic growth while ensuring governance and risk mitigation.
• Resolve complex finance issues involving unallocated cash, disputes, reconciliation gaps, or operational blockers impacting receivables.
• Drive negotiations on collateral, payment terms, and risk-based decisions with large partners, balancing commercial opportunity with financial protection.
• Support our credit insurance programme, with an effective management of coverage gaps.
• Strengthen collections processes and identify opportunities to reduce ageing, improve forecasting accuracy, and optimise partner payment behaviour.
• Evaluate and store partner financial information, ensuring completeness, accuracy and compliance with internal controls.
• Support the Credit Risk Director in developing and updating Credit Management Policies, ensuring they reflect evolving business strategy and risk appetite.

Experience and Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in credit control, credit risk or corporate finance, with a focus on large B2B portfolios or high-risk accounts.
• Proven ability to interpret financial statements, assess business models and form clear risk opinions.
• Experience setting or reviewing credit limits of high amounts is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence senior internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve complex issues, dispute, think critically, and manage escalations with a calm, solutions-driven approach.
• Strong relationship-building skills across functions and cultures.
• High attention to detail and ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong system adaptability (experience with AI, Power BI Power Query is a plus).
• Experience in business partnering roles or environments where finance must collaborate closely with commercial teams.
• Knowledge of B2B business models, credit insurance, securitisation or collateral management is advantageous.
• English speaker
• Travel experience desirable

Please note that this role is only available in the following locations: Madrid, in alignment with our flexible work model which requires employees to be in-office at least three days a week. We are unable to offer relocation assistance for this role.

The total cash range for this position in Madrid is €43,000.00 to €60,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to €69,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
