Job Description

In a nutshell

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will design, plan, and implement network IT Infrastructure for Transformation, Integration, and Segregation Projects across different businesses in Europe. These projects involve installations, configuration, and migrations of enterprise-level network IT infrastructure systems from legacy to new solutions.

Location and Business Support

Based in Barcelona, you will join a global IT infrastructure team supporting several business lines such as Agroscience, Pharma, and Genomic Services.

How can you help us?

• Propose and deliver solutions that meet business needs in terms of security, cost, and bandwidth.
• Collaborate with Server, Cloud, and Architects to deliver IT Infrastructure projects.
• Manage end-to-end infrastructure views.
• Ensure effective delivery of IT services to business customers, including executing SOPs, managing IT Incidents/Problems, and IT Changes as per ITIL processes in ServiceNow.
• Maintain and optimize performance, scalability, and security.
• Identify opportunities for innovation and service enhancement.
• Consult with peers and vendors to stay updated on modern technologies and practices.
• Lead projects involving multiple stakeholders.
• Document solutions and transition services to Operations and regional IT teams.
• Work with users to ensure high-quality project delivery.

Qualifications

Are you our kind of extraordinary?

• Solid experience in network infrastructure design in data centre environments, including firewalls (CheckPoint, Fortinet, Palo Alto), cloud/hybrid environments (GCP, Azure, AWS), routing and switching (CCNP or similar), SDWAN (Fortinet, Palo Alto), high/low-level designs, documentation, and wireless equipment (Cisco Meraki, Juniper Mist).
• Excellent collaboration skills and proactive mindset.
• Strong communication skills in English and Spanish, with the ability to present technical projects effectively.

Additional Skills (Preferred)

• Experience with LAN/WAN/SDWAN network design and implementation during acquisitions and enterprise transitions.
• Experience with complex data centre migrations.
• NGFW experience with Checkpoint, Palo Alto, or Fortinet.
• Networking console management with Forti Manager, PA Panorama, or Checkpoint.
• Velocloud SDWAN, SSL client VPN, wireless and switching with Meraki or Juniper Mist, network virtualization (VMware NSX-T), automation skills, and ServiceNow experience.
