Bounteous seeks a Senior Murex PAC Consultant to deploy, support, and troubleshoot MX.3 in client environments, acting as a bridge between the technical layer and business/trading teams across the full product lifecycle.

You will own deployment, performance, reliability, and operability, ensuring production readiness and smooth upgrades while collaborating with Trading, Reporting, Product Development, and Client Services to deliver robust solutions.

Formación

• Several years of hands-on Murex production/architecture support experience.
• Strong OO design and coding in Java and/or C/C++ on UNIX/Linux.
• Solid knowledge of Oracle and Sybase databases and backend services.
• Experience troubleshooting performance and reliability on live financial systems.
• Ability to translate infrastructure changes into business impact for trading and reporting.

• Certify MX application runs correctly in production and non-production environments.
• Analyze and troubleshoot system performance, reliability, and architecture issues.
• Own infrastructure preparation end to end: sizing, setup, monitoring, maintenance.
• Collaborate with Trading and Reporting teams for new product rollouts and nightly closing batch.
• Act as trusted technical partner with the client and collaborate with Product Development and Client Services.
• Guarantee technical continuity across the product lifecycle for future evolutions.

Senior Murex PAC (Production & Architecture Consultancy) Consultant

Murex's own PAC (Production & Architecture Consultancy) function exists to ensure clients can run MX.3 efficiently, reliably, and securely across the full product lifecycle, from implementation through to production support.

We need an experienced version of that same function: someone who already knows how to deploy, support, and troubleshoot a Murex environment.

This is not a narrow, purely technical role limited to infrastructure tickets. The person needs to understand enough of the technical stack (databases, services, Java on the server side) to be a real bridge between the technical layer and the business/trading side.

Key Responsibilities:

• Owns deployment, performance, reliability, and operability of the MX.3 platform in the client's environment, without needing senior oversight to get there.
• Certifies that the Murex application runs correctly in production and non-production environments (resources, installation, binaries, environment changes).
• Analyzes and troubleshoots system performance, reliability, and architecture issues independently, including benchmarking, profiling, and testing to improve system stability.
• Owns infrastructure preparation end to end: sizing, setup, monitoring, and maintenance, and understands machine-level impact (MLC), i.e. what resources a change or new product requires.
• Works closely with the Trading and Reporting teams: supports new product rollouts, evolves reporting files, and assesses how new products affect the nightly closing batch.
• Acts as a trusted technical partner directly with the client, not just an execution resource, and collaborates with Product Development and Client Services to deliver solutions.
• Guarantees technical continuity across the product lifecycle so the team can plan and support future platform evolutions (e.g. UAAS-style version comparisons).

Requirements:

• Several years of hands-on Murex production/architecture support, ideally in a PAC-equivalent or production engineering role, not a first role out of university.
• Strong object-oriented design and coding skills (Java and/or C/C++), on UNIX or Linux, applied at the server/machine level rather than pure application-layer coding.
• Solid working knowledge of databases (Oracle, and ideally prior exposure to Sybase given the migration context) and backend services.
• Demonstrated experience troubleshooting performance, reliability, and stability issues on a live financial system, including profiling/benchmarking tools.
• Comfortable owning client relationships directly: able to translate infrastructure or database changes into their business impact on trading, reporting, and batch processes without a senior consultant translating for them.
• Linux/Unix and shell scripting proficiency; exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
