Why You

As Proteomics Segment Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing market opportunities in the proteomics research, translational research, and industry environments. You will assess market dynamics, understand customer requirements, and establish relationships with stakeholders (3rd party companies, KOLs, research centres, government bodies, and internal Illumina resources) to develop and implement a go-to-market strategy for the Europe region.

To be successful, you should have significant marketing experience within the life sciences sector, particularly in multiomics and proteomics. You should understand genomic technologies and their application in proteomics, as well as genome-wide association studies and their relation to proteomics in large cohorts.

You will be based in Europe and willing to travel up to 50% of the time.

The Role

As Proteomics Segment Marketing Manager, you will collaborate with the European marketing communication team to craft compelling messaging and positioning for Illumina products and services in these markets. You will focus on creating awareness, generating demand, and supporting the sales team with guidance, tools, and training. A deep understanding of proteomics and its applications is essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary regional contact for the use of Illumina technologies in proteomics, facilitating communication and ensuring alignment with internal stakeholders.
  • Gather and analyze input from customers and field staff to provide insights into market needs, issues, and opportunities.
  • Develop sales enablement tools and assist sales teams with messaging, positioning, and targeting.
  • Assess training needs and coordinate training opportunities across the region.
  • Own and execute the regional strategic plan focusing on proteomics market development, product launches, and marketing activities.
  • Manage regional partnerships and co-marketing agreements in proteomics.
  • Provide regular market insights to European directors / managers and Global Product Managers.
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction through technical and product knowledge.
  • Coordinate collaborations and studies to generate proof points and customer advocates.
  • Target potential customers in academia and industry to promote our proteomics portfolio.
  • Deliver technical presentations with support from field application scientists to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, prospects, and KOLs.
