Solera CAP-HPI, part of the global Solera family, seeks a Principal Engineer for Java to lead technical development of web-based applications and services. You will drive standards, mentor peers, and deliver complex solutions with a focus on quality and automation.

You will work within a cross-functional team and engage with stakeholders to shape design and delivery, applying the latest technologies to enable robust digital vehicle data platforms.

Formación

• Over 3 years’ experience as a Technical Lead in a team.
• Over 10 years’ experience delivering IT development projects.
• Related degree or equivalent qualifications/experience.
• Java – up to v21 with Spring (Boot, MVC, Batch).
• Java Webapps (Tomcat/WebSphere, Spring MVC).
• CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Concourse, Git, GitLab, Octopus.
• REST/JSON APIs (Swagger, HATEOAS).
• Unix JavaScript (Typescript, Angular).
• CI/CD and build tools: Maven, Ant; Web servers: Nginx/Apache.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver projects on technical development, support and maintenance of customer facing and internal applications.
• Champion standards and best practices across the squad and tribe.
• Coach and mentor teammates; collaborate with Architecture on technical governance.
• Promote automated testing and continuous improvement aligned with product goals.
• Ensure robust, resilient, scalable solutions and strong morale within squads.
