Miratech is seeking a Senior Java Developer to join our European delivery team, focusing on a tax administration project for a major public sector client. You will develop and maintain customized software solutions in a multi-country European context, collaborating with a distributed team to deliver scalable Java-based services.

Expect to work on complex integration, microservices, and modern DevOps practices while contributing to architecture and roadmap discussions. English required.

Formación

• 6+ years of experience in Java development.
• Strong experience with Spring Framework and Quarkus.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and containers (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Experience with PostgreSQL or other RDBMS.
• Experience with REST/SOAP integrations and Kafka.
• Good knowledge of testing principles.
• Fluency in English for communication with stakeholders.

Job Description

We are looking to hire a Senior Java Developer who will take part in development and maintenance services for customized software solutions for large European customer, a provider of innovative software solutions for the public sector.

The client is a technology service provider specializing in digital solutions for public sector organizations. The company focuses on developing secure, scalable platforms that support administrative processes, data management, and digital transformation initiatives.

The project includes software application development in the tax administration domain. The system under development is the tax administration system that covers taxation processes in one of the European countries. This is the complex system that covers the full life-cycle of tax declarations processing and tax calculations and assessments that included integration with multiple external systems. The project team consist of 20+ people.

Responsibilities

• Implement software components according to the design specifications
• Perform system integration and testing, problem troubleshooting, and resolution
• Perform unit testing of software components
• Participate in estimating project efforts and delivery timelines
• Proactively collaborate with teammates and communicate with the Project Stakeholders to ensure that the Project efforts proceed efficiently and with predictability
• Provide technical input into product roadmaps
• Participate in triage activities (incident analysis and prioritization)
• Support and optimize CI/CD processes

Project Tech Stack

Backend (Java): Spring, Quarkus.

Frontend: Angular (latest versions)

Data & Integration: PostgreSQL,RESTEasy, Hibernate / Panache, Kafka

Architecture, DevOps & Tools: Microservices, Maven, Flyway, Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab, Jira, ArgoCD, Grafana

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Java development
• Strong experience with Spring Framework, Quarkus
• Understanding of microservices architecture and containers (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL or other RDBMS)
• Experience with REST/SOAP integrations and messaging (Kafka, ActiveMQ)
• Good understanding of testing principles
• Ability to communicate confidently in English
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with stakeholders and distributed teams

Nice to have

• Experience in Angular front-end development
• German or Swiss German language skills
