Infotel in Spain's Barcelona area is seeking a Senior Java Backend Engineer to join our Java Development Competence Center. Reporting to the Tech Lead, you will contribute to the design and development of high-quality software solutions for international clients.

You will work on Java 17/21, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, Kafka, and occasional Angular tasks, collaborating with an experienced global team.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 4-6+ years of professional Java backend development.
• Strong expertise in Java backend and Java 17.
• Experience with Spring Boot and Kafka.
• Proven experience building microservices and REST APIs.
• Experience with Angular is a plus.
• Professional level of English and strong communication.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop and maintain backend applications using Java 17/21 ( Groovy).
• Develop scalable applications based on microservices architecture.
• Design, develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Develop applications using Spring Boot and modern Java frameworks.
• Integrate asynchronous messaging solutions using Kafka.
• Contribute to frontend developments using Angular 21 when required.
• Collaborate closely with the Tech Lead to define technical solutions, architecture and development best practices.
• Write clean, efficient and maintainable code following industry standards.
• Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work in a<b>n Agile/Scrum environment </b>alongside developers, QA and Business Analysts.
• Ensure timely delivery while maintaining high quality standards.

We are looking for a Senior Java Backend Engineer to join our growing Java Development Competence Center. Reporting directly to the Tech Lead, you will be part of an experienced international team, contributing to the design and development of high-quality software solutions for leading international client.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate backend engineer who enjoys building scalable applications, working with modern technologies and continuously expanding their technical expertise.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high-quality backend applications using Java 17/21 ( Groovy)
• Develop scalable applications based on microservices architecture.
• Design, develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Develop applications using Spring Boot and modern Java frameworks.

• Experience with Kafka or other event-driven messaging platforms.
• Proven experience developing microservices-based applications.
• Experience building REST APIs and working with distributed systems.
• Experience with Angular 21 is a plus.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Professional level of English.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in an international team.
