European Tech Recruit in Donostia/San Sebastián is seeking a Senior IT Systems Engineer to own and refine our global IT infrastructure. You will design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable systems, including IAM, endpoint management, and SaaS environments, with emphasis on automation and security.

You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, mentor junior staff, and drive security best practices across enterprise operations in a hybrid work setup in Spain.

Formación

• 7+ years of IT/Systems Engineering experience in IT/Workplace tech roles.
• Hands-on JAMF administration experience in a macOS enterprise environment.
• Experience with IAM platforms, specifically Microsoft Entra ID.
• Knowledge of endpoint management, SSO, SCIM provisioning, and Zero Trust.
• Advanced scripting and automation skills for IT workflows.
• Experience with SaaS administration and enterprise infrastructure improvements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.
• Mentoring and senior technical lead experience.
• Certifications in JAMF, Microsoft Entra ID, ITIL, or security/compliance regions.

The Role

As a Senior IT Systems Engineer, you will own and continuously refine the technology ecosystem powering global operations. You will design, implement, and maintain a secure, scalable IT infrastructure, encompassing identity platforms, endpoint management, and SaaS environments. Working closely with cross‑functional stakeholders, your focus will be driving automation, operational excellence, and security best practices to deliver a seamless user experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage secure, scalable IT infrastructure, identity platforms, and endpoint management solutions.
• Administer macOS endpoints and enterprise MDM tooling, driving device compliance, patching, and lifecycle management.
• Lead Identity & Access Management (IAM) initiatives, including Microsoft Entra ID, SSO integrations, SCIM provisioning, and access governance.
• Embed Zero Trust architecture, least-privilege access, and secure authentication across all systems.
• Build scalable IT automation scripts and workflows to streamline operational processes.
• Deliver advanced technical troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and ongoing support for business‑critical teams and senior stakeholders.
• Maintain high standards for IT documentation, process optimization, and system security.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in IT Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Workplace Technology roles.
• Strong hands‑on JAMF administration experience within a macOS‑heavy enterprise environment.
• Proven experience with Identity & Access Management (IAM) platforms, specifically Microsoft Entra ID.
• In‑depth knowledge of endpoint management, SSO, SCIM provisioning, and Zero Trust security principles.
• Advanced scripting and automation skills for IT workflows.
• Strong track record in SaaS administration, enterprise infrastructure, and operational process improvement.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with a strong customer‑service mindset.
• Proactive approach with proven project ownership from scoping to execution.
• Professional fluency in both Spanish and English.
• Background within a fast‑scaling tech or engineering‑led organization.
• Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks, audit readiness, and endpoint security controls.
• Experience with enterprise configuration management and automation tools at scale.
• Experience mentoring junior team members and serving as a senior technical lead.
• Relevant certifications in JAMF, Microsoft Entra ID, ITIL, or Security/Compliance frameworks.
