Milestone Systems in Barcelona is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Linux & Platform) to design and build a turnkey on-prem platform for on-premises, hybrid and air-gapped environments.

This hands-on role focuses on reliability, automation, lifecycle management, and operational simplicity, with Kubernetes as part of the stack. You will own engineering direction and collaborate with product, support, and customers.

Formación

• Strong software engineering experience in backend, systems, or infrastructure development.
• Deep hands-on experience with Linux in production environments (troubleshooting, performance, networking, system behavior).
• Experience working with containers and Docker.
• Practical familiarity with Kubernetes (concepts, basic operations, troubleshooting).
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible (or similar).
• Familiarity with API design and contracts (REST, gRPC, OpenAPI).
• A focus on reliability, maintainability, and operational quality.
• Clear communication and collaborative problem solving.

We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Linux & Platform), based in Barcelona, Spain (hybrid mode of working).

Role Summary

As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Linux & Platform), you will design and build a turnkey on-prem platform used in on-premisses, hybrid and air-gapped environments.

You will focus on reliability, automation, lifecycle management, and operational simplicity - turning complex infrastructure into a seamless product experience. While the platform leverages Kubernetes, this role is Linux and systems-first, with Kubernetes as one part of the broader stack.

This is a hands‑on engineering role with strong technical ownership and influence on architecture, quality, and engineering standards.

What You Will Do:

• Design and evolve a production-grade software appliance

What You Bring to the Team:
