Amentum seeks an experienced HVAC Master Technician to support a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role focuses on maintenance, testing and repair of large-scale HVAC systems in a demanding remote environment.

You will perform inspections, diagnose faults, ensure safe operation, and supervise junior technicians while complying with safety and environmental standards for international deployment.

Formación

• Minimum five years of HVAC/refrigeration maintenance, repair, installation, troubleshooting, or related trade work.
• HVAC/RAC qualification (City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• Current refrigerant handling certification where required.
• Expert level skills to perform assigned HVAC tasks with minimal supervision.
• Ability to supervise less experienced trade personnel.
• Experience troubleshooting large-scale HVAC systems and knowledge of refrigerant regulations.
• Must read, speak, and comprehend English to perform contract requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Perform maintenance and repair of chilled water and DX type centralized air conditioning plant equipment.
• Support VAV and CV air distribution systems with capacities of 100 tons or greater.
• Conduct inspections, fault diagnosis, testing, and preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and implement repairs for safe operation per guidelines.
• Assist with planning and scheduling maintenance activities.
• Document inspections, test results, maintenance, and repairs as required.
• Supervise and provide technical guidance to team members.
• Ensure adherence to environmental safety regulations and refrigerant handling practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned consistent with the position.
