Job summary

MARINE HVAC DESIGN & KNUD E. HANSEN in Spain is seeking a Senior Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC) engineer with deep knowledge in design and regulatory compliance. You will join a dynamic team on all stages from concept through installation and commissioning.

Requirements include a BSc/MSc in a related field, 10+ years of HVAC experience, and strong English; French is a plus. Travel to support clients and field activities is expected.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar HVAC engineering role.
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of French is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop HVAC concept, basic and detailed design documentation.
• Prepare HVAC system specifications and perform heat load, noise and pressure drop calculations.
• Produce HVAC D&IDs, P&IDs, and one-line diagrams.
• Read, interpret, and comply with customer specifications and requirements.
• Select appropriate HVAC equipment and technical solutions and communicate with customers and project stakeholders.

The successful candidate(s) will be part of a dynamic team working on every step of the design from the concept design to the installation and commissioning.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• BSc and/or MSc degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar HVAC engineering role.
• Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of French will be considered an advantage.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong knowledge of the marine and offshore industry, including relevant business practices and regulations.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment with rapidly changing priorities and multiple concurrent deadlines.
