MoOngy is seeking a Senior HPC Systems Administrator to join our team in Community of Madrid, Spain. The role focuses on Linux-based HPC environments, automation, and workload management with Slurm, ensuring performance, security, and scalability for research and engineering users.

The ideal candidate has strong Linux expertise, scripting skills in Bash/Python, and is comfortable collaborating in an international environment. Fluency in English is mandatory for this position.

• Ensure system availability, performance, security, and scalability.
• Support users and scientific/engineering teams in HPC-related activities.
• Participate in infrastructure improvements and capacity planning initiatives.

We are looking for a Senior HPC Systems Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in High Performance Computing (HPC) environments, Linux administration, automation, and workload management systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and optimize HPC infrastructure.
• Manage Linux-based environments (RedHat, CentOS, and related distributions).
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Python, or similar technologies.
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot HPC workload management systems, such as Slurm.
• Ensure system availability, performance, security, and scalability.
• Support users and scientific/engineering teams in HPC-related activities.
• Participate in infrastructure improvements and capacity planning initiatives.

Requirements

• Strong experience as a Linux System Administrator.
• Expertise with RedHat, CentOS, or similar Linux distributions.
• Experience with Bash, Python, or other scripting languages.
• Hands‑on experience with HPC Workload Managers, particularly Slurm.
• Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
• Ability to work in collaborative and international environments.
• Fluent English (mandatory).

Nice to Have

• Experience with scientific computing or research environments.
• Knowledge of cluster administration and distributed computing.
• Familiarity with monitoring, automation, and infrastructure management tools.
