A leading aerospace company in Getafe, Spain, is looking for an experienced Electrical Harness Design Engineer to integrate into the Electrical System Installation Design Department. The role demands proficiency in CATIA V5 and experience in Electrical or Electromechanical design. Responsibilities include developing designs, managing technical activities, and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team. Candidates should possess a degree in Engineering and have excellent communication skills in English and Spanish.

Job Description:

AJob Position for an experienced ELECTRICAL HARNESS DESIGN ENGINEERis open for Electrical System Installation Design Department (Spanish perimeter) for Eurodrone, FCAS, Eurofighter, A400M, UAS and Legacy Combat A/C.

The Position will be integrated in the multidisciplinary team of Electrical System Installation Design.

The Candidate should have knowledge inthe Electrical and/ or Electromechanical Design fields (i.e. Diagrams, Harnesses, Electrical Boxes, Electromechanical Installations, bracketryetc.),andhaving experience/ speciality on Harnesses detail definition.

Mastering CATIAV5 and PDM toolsis a must, as a prerrequisite to perform designs in toolset with CATIA V6 (3DX). Some background on Electrical Diagrams Tools (See-XP, Capital Logic etc.) is welcommed.

Also, due to the high amount of stakeholders interfacing with Electrical Design activities (Systems Analysis Departments, Configuration, Structural Design, Mechanical Design, Manufacturing, Standardization, In Service Support etc.) and the international Program set up, it is also required the ability to communicate and work in a collaborative environment, among other soft skills (self-organized etc.).

The taskswill befocused indevelopingdesigns and managing related technical activities, to provide the requireddeliverables during the diferent Program phases, such as for example:

• In the early phases of projects, mainly conceptual design activities need to be performed (Inboard Profile definition),Space Allocation Mock Up (SAM), generation of Systems/ WiringsLayouts and Electromechanical Interfaces, together with requirements management, generation of Design Principles, etc.
• In the Definition phase, designs need to be matured, starting withtheWiring interconnection Diagrams,and ending with the Electrical harnesses, Supports/ Bracketry and Electromechanical Installations detailed design and definition dossier generationfor Manufacturing and Assembly. Also high knowledge of harnesses standard parts is required for selection them and for checkings.
• In the subsequent phases, it would be required to provide Engineering support during the Production/ Assembly and In Service Phases, and to provide approval of concessions, repairs and modifications to Design.

The Candidateshould have knowledge in Electrical and/ or Electromechanicaldesign, including CATIA V5knowledge (desirable CATIA V6/3DX).

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

• Educated in an Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering degree or a related/alternative discipline.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in Engineering, in a Design/Airframe Department.
• Knowledge in Electrical and/ or Electromechanicaldesign, including CATIA V5knowledge (desirable CATIA V6/3DX).
• Experience for details check previous to release the documentation to manufacturing
• High adaptability to work on new topics, new business and in a network mode
• Advanced level in English.and Spanish
• German or French would be an asset.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to propose new ideas.
