Job summary

The Lancet Primary Care is seeking an in-house Senior Editor (Maternity cover) to lead the creation and publication of original material for the online journal. You will manage submissions and ensure high-quality peer review, while building relationships with global primary care experts.

You will oversee editorial processes, commission papers, and contribute editorials as needed, contributing to a wide range of high-impact content.

Qualifications

• MD or PhD with postdoctoral experience or higher degree plus senior editorial experience.
• Thorough knowledge of biological and medical sciences.
• Ability to engage external stakeholders and researchers.
• Excellent English writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee submissions and quality peer review.
• Commission authors to develop engaging articles.
• Represent the journal at conferences and events.
• Write editorials and other content as required.
