Overview:


We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in data architecture,data engineering and a basic understanding of data products and data mesh. Data Engineer will work closely with a multidisciplinary Agile team to build high quality data pipelines driving analytic solutions. These solutions will generate insights from the organization'sconnected data, enabling the organization to advance the data-driven decision-making capabilities of the organization's enterprise. This role requires an agile learner, possess strong problem-solving skills, work as partof a technical, cross functional analytics team, and want to solve complex data problems and deliver the insights to enable analytics strategy. At Bunge, you will be at the forefront ofleveraging data analytics and technology to feed and fuel the world in a better, faster, and simpler way.

Essential Functions:

  • Solve complex supply chain data problems to deliver insights thathelps the organization's business to achieve theirgoals
  • Create data products for analytics and data scientistteam members to improve theirproductivity
  • Mentor and coach other data andanalytic professionals on data standards andpractices
  • Foster a culture of sharing, re-use, design for scalestability, and operational efficiency of data andanalyticalsolutions
  • Lead the evaluation, implementation and deployment ofemerging tools and process for analytic dataengineeringtoimprove the organization'sproductivity as ateam
  • Develop and deliver communication and educationplans on analytic data engineering capabilities,standards, andprocesses.
  • Partner with business analysts and solutions architectsto develop technical architectures for strategicenterprise projects andinitiatives.
  • Learn about machine learning, data science, computervision, artificial intelligence, statistics, and/or appliedmathematics
  • Ensure timely analysis and testing for regular maintenance of solutions over time


Qualifications:

  • Research experience in Data Science or experience Post graduate degree in STEM field with 3-5 years' experience as Data Engineer
  • Data Engineering experience using GCP portfolio (Big query, DataStream, DataProc, DataPlex and DataForm)
  • Skilled in data engineering, Python, dbt, SQL, data analysis, analytical skills, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • Can design the necessary data architecture to support the data analytics squads
  • Can evaluate different cloud services to implement the most cost-efficient solutions
  • Deep understand of data mesh concepts
  • Can help business structure the data architect solution.
  • Expertise in SQL and data analysis and experience with at least one programming language (Python or Scala preferred)
  • Experience developing and maintaining data warehouses in big datasolutions
  • Experience with developing solutions on cloud computing services and infrastructure in the data and analytics space (preferred)
  • Database development experience using Hadoop orBigQueryand experience with a variety of relational, NoSQL, and clouddatabasetechnologies
  • Conceptual knowledge of data and analytics, such as dimensional modeling, ETL, reporting tools, data governance, datawarehousing, structured and unstructureddata.
  • Big Data Development experience using Hive, Impala, Spark, and familiarity with Kafka (Preferred)
  • Exposure to machine learning, data science, computer vision, artificial intelligence, statistics, and/or appliedmathematics
  • Passionate about Agile software processes, data-driven development, reliability, and experimentation
  • Flexibility to changes in work direction as the project develops
  • Excellent communication, listening, and influencing skills
  • Strong work ethic; ability to work at an abstract level and gain consensus
