Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale data centre construction projects or programmes. You will act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing leadership to project teams and managing key delivery risks.

You will be accountable for project performance across quality, programme, commercial outcomes and stakeholder satisfaction, with a focus on complex, high-value delivery across Spain and Europe.

Qualifications

• Significant experience delivering major construction projects in data centre, mission-critical, industrial, pharmaceutical, semiconductor or similar environments.
• Proven ability to lead large project teams through all delivery phases.
• Track record of delivering projects with substantial capital values.
• Strong understanding of NEC, FIDIC or equivalent contracts.
• Experience working with global clients, contractors and consultants.
• Knowledge of commissioning and handover processes for mission-critical facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of complex data centre construction projects or programs.
• Manage multidisciplinary project teams and construction resources.
• Oversee contractor performance, governance and execution strategies.
• Maintain client relationships and act as the primary project contact.
• Lead reporting, risk management, and commercial oversight.
• Review contractor schedules and performance metrics; drive improvements.
• Support procurement strategies and contract administration.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to the team’s development.
• Resolve complex technical, commercial and stakeholder issues.
