Talan is seeking a Senior Data Business Analyst in Spain to support a strategic initiative focused on enhancing data integration capabilities and expanding data feeds into a centralized data platform for reporting and analytics.

The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders, solution architects, information security teams, and third-party providers to define requirements, ensure data quality, and deliver high-quality data solutions that meet business needs.

Formación

• 5-6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within data-focused projects.
• Strong experience gathering and documenting business, functional, and data requirements.
• Solid understanding of data extraction, reconciliation, and validation processes.
• Experience with data integration, data warehouse, data platform, or reporting initiatives.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Gather, analyze, and document business and data requirements for new and enhanced data feeds.
• Define data extraction, transformation, and reconciliation requirements.
• Collaborate with Solution Architecture and Information Security to meet standards.
• Work with third-party vendors and internal teams through the delivery lifecycle.
• Support testing and resolve defects during testing phases.
• Validate delivered data meets reporting and analytics needs with SMEs.
• Assist with comparison testing and dual-running of old and new solutions.
• Maintain data dictionaries, glossaries, and related documentation.
• Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Data Business Analyst with 5+ years of experience to support a strategic initiative focused on enhancing data integration capabilities and expanding the scope of data feeds into a centralized data platform for reporting and analytics.

The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders, solution architects, information security teams, and third-party providers to define requirements, ensure data quality, support testing activities, and deliver high-quality data solutions that meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business and data requirements for new and enhanced data feeds.
• Support the definition of data extraction, transformation, and reconciliation requirements.
• Collaborate with Solution Architecture and Information Security teams to ensure solutions align with established standards and governance requirements.
• Work closely with third-party vendors and internal teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Support the investigation and resolution of issues, defects, and queries identified during testing phases.
• Partner with business SMEs to validate that delivered data meets reporting, analytics, and operational requirements.
• Assist with comparison testing and dual-running activities between existing and new data solutions.
• Maintain data dictionaries, business glossaries, and related documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Contribute to data quality assurance and reconciliation processes.
• Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment across all project phases.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

• 5-6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within data-focused projects.
• Strong experience gathering and documenting business, functional, and data requirements.
• Solid understanding of data extraction, reconciliation, and validation processes.
• Experience working on data integration, data warehouse, data platform, or reporting initiatives.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors.
• Experience supporting testing activities, defect management, and issue resolution.
• Strong documentation skills, including data dictionaries, process documentation, and requirements specifications.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience working on data warehouse or enterprise data platform projects.
• Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and information security principles.
• Experience supporting reporting and analytics environments.
• Familiarity with complex, large-scale data transformation initiatives.
