Smadex, based in Barcelona, is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to bridge product, engineering, and business using data-driven insights. You will shape the future of our mobile ad-tech platform by translating complex analytics into strategic product decisions.

You will own experimentation, build scalable data models, and partner with cross-functional teams to drive measurable outcomes while mentoring junior analysts.

Formación

• 5+ years in Data Science or Product Analytics in tech or mobile ecosystems.
• Bachelor's or Master's in a quantitative field.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with large datasets and cloud data warehouses.

• Design, run, and evaluate experiments (A/B, multivariate) to measure feature and ML impact.

As a Senior Data Analyst, you won’t just analyze data, you will actively shape the future of our mobile advertising platform. You will sit at the intersection of product, engineering, and business, transforming raw behavioral data from millions of global users into scalable strategies. We are looking for a high-caliber professional who thrives in ambiguity, sets high analytical standards, and translates complex insights into product decisions.

This is a full-time position based in Barcelona.

Product & ML Strategy Influence

• Own the analytical loop that influences our Product and Machine Learning strategies. Use data to identify untapped opportunities and define what we build next.
• Design, execute, and evaluate sophisticated experimentation frameworks (A/B testing, multivariate testing) to measure the impact of new product features and ML algorithms.
• Establish and govern key performance frameworks to align cross-functional teams on what success looks like.

Scalable Analytics & Frameworks

• Build reproducible data models, frameworks, and processes that allow the company to scale decision-making without reinventing the wheel.
• Design high-impact data visualization assets that democratize data access and enable self-service insights for both technical and commercial stakeholders.

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Act as the strategic data partner for engineering, product, and business teams, translating deep technical findings into actionable, high-level business recommendations.
• Raise the bar for analytical rigor across the organization, mentoring junior team members and establishing best practices.

Skills & Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years of proven experience as a Data Scientist or Product Analyst, preferably in high-growth tech environments or mobile ecosystems.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a highly quantitative field (Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or Economics).
• Technical Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL. Hands‑on experience working with massive, complex datasets and modern cloud data warehouses
• Statistical Rigor: Solid understanding of statistical concepts, hypothesis testing, causal inference, and regression methodologies.
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to present complex technical conclusions to C-level executives and non-technical stakeholders with clarity and impact.
• Ownership & Autonomy: Proven track record of owning projects from ambiguity to measurable business outcome. You are comfortable building the playbook, not just following it.

Preferred Qualifications (A Plus)

• Strong background in the ad-tech industry, mobile programmatic advertising (DSP/SSP), or user acquisition (UA) dynamics.
• Familiarity with mobile app measurement frameworks (MMPs) and concepts like LTV optimization or incrementality.
• Experience working with global, distributed cross-functional teams.
