Summary of Role & Key Responsibilities

The Senior Content & Editorial Lead is responsible for shaping the brand’s narrative, leading the creation of high-quality written and multimedia content that drives brand positioning, visibility, and measurable engagement across all channels. The role combines strategic thinking with editorial excellence, ensuring that every piece of content communicates clearly, consistently, and with purpose.

Key Responsibilities
  • Editor Strategy: Champion and implement the global content and editorial strategy, ensuring alignment with brand identity, business priorities, and target audiences.
  • Content Creation: Oversee and execute the ideation, writing, and editing of all core content streams (e.g., articles, thought leadership, reports, and campaigns).
  • Quality & Consistency: Establish and enforce the brand voice, tone, and messaging consistency across all communication touchpoints.
  • Storytelling & Brand Narrative: Develop compelling stories that humanize complex topics, translating sustainability, innovation, and impact into accessible narratives.
  • Editorial Oversight: Manage the editorial calendar and coordinate contributions from internal teams, external partners, and subject matter experts.
  • Thought Leadership: Partner with senior leaders to develop strategic content such as op-eds, white papers, and keynotes to enhance the organization’s reputation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Design, and Communications teams to ensure creative and narrative alignment across projects.
  • Measurement & Improvement: Monitor content performance, analyse engagement metrics, and continuously improve editorial outputs based on data and insights.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in editorial leadership, content strategy, or communications, ideally within corporate, sustainability, or agency environments.
  • Proven ability to lead complex content projects from concept to publication.
  • Strong editorial judgment and storytelling ability across multiple formats.
  • Outstanding writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style to different audiences.
  • Capacity to link content to business objectives, brand positioning, and stakeholder needs.
  • Highly organized, ability to prioritize multiple deadlines, and manage contributions from diverse teams and experts.
  • Expert understanding of SEO best practices, social media content strategy, and using analytics to inform, measure, and optimize content lifecycle performance.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams and external contributors.
  • Leadership ability to mentor and inspire content creators, ensuring high editorial standards and creativity.
  • Passion for communicating ideas that drive sustainability, innovation, and positive impact.
