Openchip in Barcelona seeks a Senior Secure AI Engineer to design confidential AI platforms from silicon to cloud. You will enable trusted execution environments, build remote attestation, and ensure model integrity across AI runtimes and cloud-native platforms.

Collaborate with architecture, silicon, and security teams to drive hardware/software co-design for trusted AI. Hybrid work is available, with a competitive compensation package and open-source contributions encouraged.

Formación

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 7 years of experience in systems software, platform security, AI infrastructure, or related domains.
• Strong understanding of computer architecture (CPU, memory hierarchy, cache, buses, virtualization).
• Expertise in at least two: Confidential Computing and TEEs; Remote Attestation; AI inference platforms; Kubernetes/cloud-native security; hardware security.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop Confidential AI solutions for trusted execution environments.
• Build secure mechanisms including remote attestation, model attestation, secure provisioning, and policy-based key release.
• Develop technologies that guarantee AI model integrity, provenance, signing, verification, and protection.
• Integrate Confidential AI capabilities into cloud-native AI platforms, Kubernetes environments, and on-prem deployments.
• Collaborate with architecture, silicon, platform security, and AI runtime teams to define the future of trusted AI platforms through hardware/software co-design.
• Contribute to open-source technologies and engineering excellence through code reviews, technical design, documentation, and continuous improvement.

What you'll do

You'll take ownership of key technologies that enable secure AI execution from silicon to cloud.

• Design and develop Confidential AI solutions for trusted execution environments.
• Build secure mechanisms including remote attestation, model attestation, secure provisioning, and policy-based key release.

What you'll bring

We're looking for engineers who enjoy solving complex systems problems and building technology that matters.

Required

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 7 years of experience in systems software, platform security, AI infrastructure, or related domains.
• Strong understanding of computer architecture (CPU, memory hierarchy, cache, buses, virtualization).
• Expertise in at least two of the following:
  • Confidential Computing and Trusted Execution Environments (TEE, Confidential Containers, Kata Containers, Confidential VMs)
  • Remote Attestation technologies (RATS, Trustee, KBS, DICE, SPDM, TDISP, PCIe IDE)
  • AI inference platforms (vLLM, KServe, or similar)
  • Kubernetes, containers, cloud-native security, and confidential workload orchestration
  • Trusted device communication and hardware security technologies

Nice to Have

• Contributions to open-source Confidential Computing or AI Infrastructure projects.
• Experience with production-scale AI serving platforms.
• GPU acceleration and Confidential GPU technologies.
• Secure software supply chain (SLSA, in-toto, SBOM).
• AI governance and Secure AI standards.
• Experience with heterogeneous computing (CPU, GPU, AI accelerators).
