Job summary

Telecare is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer – Hybrid Cloud to lead design, development and operation of a cost-efficient, highly available hybrid cloud infrastructure. You will support on-prem private clouds, public cloud services, databases, storage and SRE, while optimizing security and scalability.

The role requires strong Azure expertise, extensive server/storage background, ITIL knowledge, and leadership in deploying complex infrastructure across multi-region environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years with Microsoft Azure incl. HA/DR, multi-AZ/region deployment, auto-scaling.
• Experience integrating Azure with third party software and on-prem apps.
• 7+ years with server/storage hardware and software (Citrix, VMware, Dell, Windows, Linux).
• Extensive Active Directory and group policy experience.
• Relational databases (MS SQL Server, MySQL).
• VMware vSphere with vCenter preferred.
• Hybrid cloud networking and security concepts; scripting in PowerShell or Bash a plus.
• Ability to lead and design/deploy/integrate infrastructure; ITIL knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development and operation of Telecare's hybrid cloud infra.
• Focus on cost-effectiveness, availability, performance, security and scalability.
• Support on-prem private cloud, public cloud IaaS/PaaS/SaaS, databases, storage and SRE.
• Provide leadership in deployment and ongoing support of infrastructure systems.
