Job summary

Edwards Lifesciences in Spain seeks a Senior Calibration Technician to support calibration and metrology across manufacturing and lab environments. You will coordinate activities with quality, engineering, and facilities to ensure equipment and systems remain compliant and ready for production.

The role requires 3+ years in calibration/metrology, knowledge of ISO 17025, GMP practices, and experience with CMMS (Maximo).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or technical qualification in Metrology or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of calibration/metrology experience.
• Knowledge of calibration principles, measurement systems, and manufacturing equipment diagnostics.
• Experience reviewing calibration reports, certificates, and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 and metrology best practices.
• Experience using CMMS platforms to manage calibration and preventive maintenance activities.
• Knowledge of GMP and Good Documentation Practices within a regulated environment.
• Strong reading ability of technical documentation in English.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate calibration, preventive maintenance, and inspection activities with external vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Review calibration certificates, technical documentation, and maintenance records to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
• Manage equipment records and calibration schedules within the CMMS.
• Support calibration activities across manufacturing equipment, laboratory instruments, utility systems, and environmental monitoring devices.
• Investigate calibration-related discrepancies and non-conformities while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Serve as a key technical resource for metrology and calibration processes across the site.

How you'll make an impact

As a Senior Calibration Technician, you will support and coordinate calibration and metrology activities across our manufacturing environment. Working closely with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Facilities, and external service providers, you will ensure critical equipment and systems remain compliant, reliable, and ready to support production.

In this role, you will:

• Coordinate calibration, preventive maintenance, and inspection activities with external vendors and internal stakeholders.

• Serve as a key technical resource for metrology and calibration processes across the site.

What you'll need (Required)

• Bachelor's degree or technical/professional qualification in a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience in Metrology.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in calibration, metrology, or a related technical environment.
• Knowledge of calibration principles, measurement systems, and manufacturing equipment diagnostics.
• Experience reviewing calibration reports, certificates, and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 and metrology best practices.
• Experience using CMMS platforms to manage calibration and preventive maintenance activities.
• Knowledge of GMP and Good Documentation Practices within a regulated environment.
• Strong computer skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating across teams.
• Ability to read and understand technical documentation in English.

• Experience within medical devices, pharmaceuticals, laboratories, or other regulated industries.
