Lenovo is seeking a Business Development Manager – Sports Partnerships to lead strategic sales and partnership initiatives in the global sports industry. This role focuses on identifying new opportunities, managing complex deals, and building long-term relationships with sports organizations, while collaborating internally to deliver innovative, tech-driven solutions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and emerging trends in the sports sector.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads through outreach, networking, and events.
- Analyze competitive landscape to inform pricing and sales strategies.
- Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract execution.
- Create customized, data-driven partnership proposals aligned with Lenovo’s portfolio and client needs.
- Develop strong relationships with decision-makers at sports properties, agencies, and stadium developers.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth project handover and proposal delivery.
- Track pipeline progress and performance using CRM tools; report regularly on sales metrics and market insights.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Sports Management, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in business development and complex tech partnerships, preferably in the sports industry.
- Proven success in deals involving digital transformation, sports analytics, AI, IoT, or smart venue technologies.
- Strong network in sports, media, or brand marketing is a plus.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools.Strategic mindset with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Passion for sports and deep understanding of the sports business ecosystem.
