Jobtailor in Barcelona is seeking an experienced backend engineer to help build scalable features. You will collaborate with frontend, product, and DevOps teams in an Agile SDLC.

The role emphasizes TypeScript, RDBMS, testing, and message brokers. You will contribute to architecture, code reviews, and developer experience.

Formación

• 5+ years of backend development experience.
• 2+ years of experience with a strongly typed language or TypeScript.
• Strong experience with RDBMS, using raw queries or an ORM.
• Solid background in unit and integration testing.
• Experience with message brokers such as SNS, RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Google Pub/Sub.
• Bonus: Experience with Node.js, GraphQL, GCP or AWS, gRPC, and protobufs.
• Bonus: Strong grasp of SOLID principles.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and DevOps/platform teams to build meaningful features through an Agile SDLC/Kanban workflow
• Conduct peer code reviews and contribute to retrospectives
• Define technical requirements and identify effective solutions to meet team goals
• Participate in engineering retrospectives focused on testing, architecture, automation, and coding standards
• Improve platform architecture and build robust, scalable features
• Focus on delivering customer value and improving user experience
• Collaborate with the Backend Guild, Product, Platform, DevOps, and Frontend teams
• Contribute to quality, performance, and developer experience through clean architecture, code generation, linters, templates, and test-driven development
