SustainRecruit Talent seeks an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to design, build and operate scalable Python services powering AI-driven applications. You will own backend components from design to production, shaping architecture and driving best practices across teams.

You will integrate AI/LLM features, work with AI Engineers and Data Scientists, and contribute to robust CI/CD, testing and observability in a hybrid work environment.

Formación

• Experience building backend apps in Python.
• API and distributed backend design experience.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong SQL/DB design and data modelling.
• Understanding of CI/CD, testing, and observability.
• Ability to make architectural decisions and communicate trade-offs.

We're partnering with a leading enterprise organisation investing heavily in AI and looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to build the backend services that power production AI applications.

This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll design, build and operate scalable Python services, working closely with AI Engineers, Data Scientists and Platform teams to deliver secure, reliable and high-performing systems.

The Role

You'll take ownership of backend services from design through to production, helping shape architecture and engineering standards while solving real-world challenges around scalability, reliability and AI integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend services and REST APIs using Python.
