Open Digital Services in Madrid is seeking an AWS Data Architect to design and govern the ODS Datalake and cloud data ecosystem. You will partner with Data Engineering, ML, Architecture and Security to ensure scalable, secure data platforms across the organization.

The role requires 7+ years in data architecture with strong AWS services experience, and professional English. Spanish fluency is preferred. Based in Madrid, you will contribute to Openbank projects and open banking initiatives.

Formación

• 7+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, Big Data, Cloud Architecture or related domains.
• Hands-on experience with AWS data ecosystems and services (EMR, Glue, LakeFormation, Athena, EC2, etc.).
• Experience defining architectural standards and best practices for data platforms.
• Experience in banking/fintech or regulated environments (preferred).
• Experience with multi-entity data platform rollouts (preferred).
• Professional English required; fluent Spanish preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Design and evolve the ODS Datalake and cloud-based data platforms for scalability, security and maintainability.
• Define architectural standards, patterns and best practices for data processing and storage.
• Lead AWS-based data solutions using S3, Glue, Athena, EMR, Redshift, Lake Formation, Kinesis and IAM.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering and Analytics teams to ensure robust data foundations.
• Review designs, identify risks and guide engineering teams toward production-ready solutions.
• Promote automation, documentation and operational discipline in data platforms.
