ALTEN Delivery Centre Spain is seeking an experienced Android developer to join our international team in Sant Cugat del Vallès, Barcelona. You will design, develop and maintain native Android apps, mentoring peers and aligning with modern architecture patterns.

The role offers a hybrid work model with two days per week in the Sant Cugat office, English proficiency required, and opportunities for growth in a globally connected division.

Formación

• 8+ years of experience in Android app development.
• Strong knowledge of Kotlin and Java.
• Extensive experience with Android Studio.
• Knowledge of MVVM and MVIM architectures.
• Experience building scalable Android apps using modern design patterns.
• Solid understanding of REST API integration.
• Experience with RxJava and asynchronous programming.
• Knowledge of dependency injection using Dagger or Hilt.
• Experience writing unit tests with JUnit and MockK.
• Experience with Git, Bitbucket, GitHub or GitLab.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Previous experience mentoring developers or acting as a technical reference.
• Work model: Hybrid – 2 days per week in the Sant Cugat del Vallés office.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop and maintain native Android applications using modern development practices.
• Act as the technical reference for the team, providing guidance, mentoring and code reviews.
• Analyse business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Design and implement new application features following clean architecture principles.
• Develop high-quality, maintainable and reusable code using Kotlin and Java.
• Integrate RESTful APIs, payment gateways and third-party services.
• Build responsive and intuitive user interfaces, including custom views and animations.
• Implement reactive programming patterns using RxJava.
• Develop unit tests and ensure software quality through continuous testing.
• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve complex technical issues.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, UX/UI designers and backend engineers.
• Contribute to software architecture, technical documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and technical discussions.
