Job Description:

The Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) is a cutting-edge institute addressing global public health challenges through research, translation into policy, and education. ISGlobal has a broad portfolio in communicable and non-communicable diseases, including environmental and climate determinants, applying a multidisciplinary scientific approach from molecular to population levels. Research is organized into five programs: Climate, Air Pollution, Nature and Urban Health; Environment and Health over the Lifecourse; Global Viral and Bacterial Infections; Malaria and Neglected Parasitic Diseases; and Maternal, Child, and Reproductive Health. ISGlobal is accredited with the Severo Ochoa distinction, a seal of excellence from the Spanish Science Ministry.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: ISGlobal seeks a Technician with over 10 years of experience in sustainability and development project consultancy to support the development and analysis departments in proposal development, SDG-related projects, and funding identification. This role includes supporting ongoing consultancy projects with Diputació de Barcelona for constructing a center for innovation in public policies and services. The candidate will assist the Department Director with relations with local Catalonian entities and contribute to studies on development and sustainability. Extensive experience in proposal writing and technical assistance is required, financed by departmental projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Drafting and editing development and sustainability projects
• Policy analysis
• Technical assistance
• Strategic advice on development and sustainability to third parties

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

• Strategic consultancy to third parties
• Proposal editing
• Institutional relations

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least 10 years of experience in development and sustainability issues

LANGUAGE LEVEL: Spanish, English, and Catalan at a professional level are required.

CONDITIONS:

• Duration: 1 year
• Start date: 15 July 2025
• Contract: Part-time 50%
• Salary Range: Technician I A
