Cori Clinical is building an AI-guided system to accelerate clinical trials, enabling faster medicine delivery. We seek a backend engineer with 5+ years of experience to own AI-related technical decisions across the company and products, including designing agent frameworks for complex workflows.

You will work with a small team of engineers, clinicians, and leaders, applying advanced LLM-based solutions and ensuring production-grade reliability in a hybrid Barcelona-based environment.

Formación

• 5+ years backend engineering experience, including in production.
• Strong Python backend development with FastAPI.
• Hands-on with LLMs in complex agent-based workflows.
• Experience guiding LLM/SLM fine-tuning strategy.
• Track record shipping multi-step/agentic systems to production.
• Familiar with evals, observability and reliability practices.
• Solid ML/NLP fundamentals; startup experience preferred.
• Fully fluent in English.

Responsabilidades

• Own AI-related technical decisions across the company and products.
• Design and build agent frameworks for complex, multi-step workflows.
• Go beyond RAG: tool use, structured outputs, multi-agent/multi-chain systems.
• Build eval and feedback loops (testing, scoring, iteration).
• Ship reliable, production-grade AI systems (latency, cost, failure modes).
• Turn messy clinical processes into deterministic, auditable systems.
• Stay current with and experiment with SOTA technologies in the field.
