AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Senior Agentic AI Engineer to design agentic workflows and AI-powered products for enterprise customers in higher education. You will lead the development of tool-using LLM applications and orchestrated AI workflows across production systems.

The role emphasizes building reliable, observable, secure solutions with a strong focus on mentoring engineers and driving technical transformation within the organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a software product development environment.
• Strong proficiency with Java and Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience building AI agents, tool-using LLM apps, or orchestrated workflows.
• Experience with multi-agent systems, RAG, vector search, agent evaluation, or human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Experience using agents to support coding, code review, testing, release management, or incident response.
• Senior-level experience building and operating production software systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and build agentic workflows coordinating tools, services, data and human approvals.
• Develop reusable patterns for agent orchestration, tool use, context management and collaboration.
• Use agentic coding tools across planning, implementation, testing, debugging and documentation.
• Integrate agents into development, testing, deployment, support and operations.
• Establish standards for evaluation, observability, security and governance.
• Prototype new agentic capabilities and turn experiments into production systems.
• Build complete, usable products and not just demos.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity and delivery through agentic development.
• Mentor engineers and shape an agentic-first technical strategy.
