ABB’s Sevensense by ABB Robotics in Sant Quirze del Vallès, Barcelona, seeks a senior engineer to advance perception and navigation for autonomous mobile robots. You will own 3D perception algorithms, validate on real robots, and collaborate with teams across Spain and Switzerland.

The role emphasizes production-grade software in C++ and Python, ROS, Linux, and ML tools, with mentorship for junior engineers and IP contributions.

Formación

• 5+ years experience in 3D perception or computer vision in product-oriented environments.
• Industrial software engineering with C++ and Python; Rust is a plus.
• Experience with stereo RGB-D and 2D/3D LiDAR sensors.
• Strong experimentation, validation, and performance evaluation for robotic systems.
• Familiarity with deep learning frameworks, MLOps, and robotic navigation planning; embedded Linux on Jetson is a plus.
• Excellent communication in English.

Responsabilidades

• Lead design, production-grade implementation, and validation of CV and 3D perception algorithms for autonomous robots.
• Ensure fast development cycles and reliable releases by building tools and running experiments on real robots.
• Contribute to technical direction by forming hypotheses and turning them into validated solutions with customer value, and contribute to IP generation.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers through best practices in software development and testing.
