A staffing company focused on security services is hiring a Security Service Technician in Cádiz, Spain. You will be responsible for installing and maintaining security systems, troubleshooting access control issues, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of relevant experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Continued training and a career path are offered in this contract-to-hire role.

Formación

  • 3+ years of experience in commercial security system installation.
  • 3+ years of experience in access control system installation.
  • Active OSHA 10 certification preferred.

Responsabilidades

We are hiring for Security Service Technician to join a growing team offering continued industry training and a career path. This is a contract-to-hire role.

Job Responsibilities
  • Travel to client sites to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on security systems, including cameras, maglocks, and card readers.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with access control systems, including panels, readers, strikes, and mag locks.
  • Service and troubleshoot IP and analog cameras, as well as Network Video Recorders (NVRs).
  • Provide support for CCTV client software installations on PC and mobile, including adding/deleting cameras, setting recording schedules, and retrieving footage.
  • Maintain access control system interfaces by managing credentials, configuring access levels, and setting door schedules.
  • Utilize basic IP networking skills to configure devices, including switches, routers, and port forwarding.
  • Install and terminate security low-voltage cabling (e.g., 22/4, 20/4, CAT 5/E, CAT 6).
  • Organize and dress cables from IT closets to device locations, ensuring clean and efficient cable management.
  • Build and maintain security equipment racks.
  • Install and manage cable pathways (J-hooks, D-rings) and ensure all cables are properly labeled.
  • Utilize software programs for documentation, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, CCTV, and access control systems.
  • Follow and interpret blueprints and layouts for service tasks.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, colleagues, and management, and maintain a high level of customer service.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, including wearing proper PPE and maintaining a clean, hazard‑free job site.
Job Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial security system installation and service.
  • 3+ years of experience in access control system installation and maintenance.
  • 1+ years of experience with IP addressing and network troubleshooting.
  • Security Manufacturer/Product Certifications – preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Active OSHA 10 certification – preferred.
  • Scissor/Boom Lift Certification – preferred.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to work on ladders or scissor lifts, in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 pounds (move up to 75 pounds). Must be comfortable working on your feet for extended periods.
  • Tools: Must possess basic hand tools (multi-bit screwdriver, tape measure, snips, needle-nose and channel lock pliers, punch-down tool, flashlight), steel/composite toe work boots, gloves, and a tool pouch.
