Job summary

Socium - Teams Done Differently is seeking a hands-on Security Engineer to protect and scale the company’s platforms, cloud environments and data. You will work with engineering, infrastructure and compliance teams to identify risks and embed security into how software is designed, built and run.

You’ll design controls across cloud and on‑prem infrastructure, contribute to threat modelling and secure CI/CD tooling, and help manage incidents, vulnerabilities and audits in a financial services

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Security Engineering, Cloud Security or DevSecOps.
• Strong knowledge of one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure or GCP) and security services.
• Hands-on with security tooling (SIEM, EDR, scanners, WAFs).
• Solid networking, Linux/Windows hardening, IAM and encryption understanding.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain security controls across cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
• Embed security into SDLC with threat modelling, secure code reviews and CI/CD tooling.
• Monitor, investigate and respond to security events and incidents.
• Manage vulnerabilities and remediation with engineering teams.
• Strengthen identity and access management, network security and secrets management.
• Support audits and regulatory requirements (e.g., DORA, ISO 27001, GDPR).
• Produce documentation, runbooks and security awareness materials.
