Zelestra in Bilbao, Spain, is seeking a SCADA engineer to develop and maintain industrial SCADA systems using Ignition across multi-technology projects. The role involves on-site implementation, project management, and defining system architectures with robust communication protocols.

You will handle databases, programming, and scripting tasks, and travel domestically and internationally as needed within a growing multinational company that offers a hybrid work model and a permanent contract.

Formación

• Master in Telecommunications Engineering or engineering degree in Telecommunications Technology.
• Ignition certification (complementary education).
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain SCADA systems using Ignition.
• Manage SCADA projects: milestones and dates.
• Define SCADA architectures: central plant, substations, dataloggers, PLCs, RTUs.
• On-site implementation and monitoring of SCADA projects.
• Define communication protocols: Modbus, DNP3, IEC-104, IEC-61850, OPC.

Mission

Development and maintenance of the SCADA systems for the multitechnology projects developed by the company. Development and maintenance of the Remote Control Center SCADA.

Location

Bilbao, Spain

Responsibilities

• Multitechnology projects SCADA development and maintenance using Ignition platform.
• SCADA projects management. Milestones and dates.
• Definition of SCADA systems: central plant and substation SCADA, dataloggers, PLCs, RTUs.
• Monitoring of SCADA projects developed by third parties.
• Definition of communication protocols: Modbus, DNP3, IEC-104, IEC-61850, OPC.
• On-site implementation of SCADA systems.

Job Requirements

Desired Education: Master in Telecommunications Engineering / Degree in Telecommunications Technology Engineering.

Complementary Education: Ignition certification

Availability for domestic and international travel.

Experience

• At least 3 years of experience in projects with industrial protocols (Modbus, DNP3, IEC 101/104, IEC 61850…)
• At least 3 years of experience in developing and implementing SCADA systems.
• At least 3 years of experience in databases, programming and scripting.
