Job summary

Talan is seeking an experienced SAP TM Architect/Consultant to design, implement, and optimize robust transportation management solutions. In a permanent role, you will shape the transportation management landscape, drive innovation, and deliver critical projects with stakeholders, technical teams, and partners.

Responsibilities include leading SAP TM design, configuring solutions, and ensuring best practices across integrations with ECC/S/4HANA, EWM, and GTS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 5+ years hands-on SAP TM experience as consultant or architect.
• Proven SAP TM modules expertise: Freight Order, Freight Settlement, Charge Management, Planning/Optimization.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, configuration, and implementation of SAP TM solutions.
• Translate business requirements into functional specs and system designs.
• Collaborate with tech teams for integrations with SAP ECC/S/4HANA, EWM, EM, GTS.
• Provide testing support, UAT, and end-user training.
• Troubleshoot SAP TM issues and implement improvements.
• Maintain thorough documentation: specs, config guides, test plans.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced SAP TM Architect/Consultant to design, implement, and optimize robust transportation management solutions.

In this permanent role, you will be instrumental in shaping the transportation management landscape, driving innovation, and ensuring the successful delivery of critical projects. You will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners to gather requirements, design scalable solutions, and implement best practices within the SAP TM framework.

As an SAP TM Architect/Consultant, you will be a key player in our digital transformation journey, directly impacting operational efficiency and business performance. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional looking to make a significant impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP TM solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements and best practices.
• Conduct detailed business process analysis and translate complex requirements into functional specifications and system designs.
• Provide expert guidance on SAP TM functionalities, including freight order management, freight settlement, charge management, and transportation planning.
• Collaborate with technical teams for custom developments, integrations (e.g., with SAP ECC/S/4HANA, EWM, EM, GTS), and data migration activities.
• Perform system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT) support, and provide training to end-users.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex SAP TM issues, providing ongoing support and system enhancements.
• Act as a subject matter expert, staying current with SAP TM innovations and industry trends to recommend strategic improvements.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, configuration guides, and test plans

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience as an SAP TM Consultant or Architect.
• Proven expertise in multiple SAP TM modules and functionalities (e.g., Freight Order, Freight Settlement, Charge Management, Planning, Optimization).
• Strong understanding of integration points between SAP TM and other SAP modules (e.g., SD, MM, FI/CO, EWM, EM, S/4HANA).
• Experience in at least 2 full lifecycle SAP TM implementations, including blueprinting, configuration, testing, and go-live support.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
• SAP TM certification is a significant plus
