Jungheinrich Digital Solutions Spain is seeking a Senior SAP ABAP Developer (Fullstack) with 5+ years of experience to extend our SAP S/4HANA and MDG solutions. You will work with cross-functional, international teams in Madrid and Romania, applying RAP, ABAP Cloud, and Fiori Elements to deliver modern, robust software.

The role involves developing high-performance applications, contributing to architecture, and ensuring long-term stability with S/4HANA upgrades.

Formación

About the role:

We are seeking a passionate Senior SAP ABAP Developer (Fullstack) with at least 5 years of experience to join our central IT team. In this role, you will extend our SAP S/4HANA system and SAP MDG solutions adhering to Clean Core principles using ABAP Cloud, RAP, and Fiori Elements. Working alongside cross-functional, international teams distributed across Madrid and Romania, you will combine project-based RAP development with legacy system support, driving modern software architecture across the organization. Key Responsibilities:

• Developing modern, high-performance, secure, and user-oriented business applications in SAP S/4HANA using RAP and Fiori Elements under Clean Core guidelines.
• Enhancing standard SAP processes using S/4 extensibility, public APIs, and extension points.
• Designing OData services, CDS views, and leveraging strong Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
• Participating in defining software architecture and establishing reusable frameworks and development standards.
• Conducting code reviews within the development team, writing technical documentation, and executing unit tests.
• Maintaining, optimizing, and extending existing applications and legacy systems alongside new project initiatives.
• Aligning business requirements with technical architecture to ensure long-term stability and seamless S/4HANA upgrades.

Requirements:

• Completed degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development with a focus on SAP ABAP and related technologies.
• Deep expertise in ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP), OData, CDS views, and Object-Oriented Programming (POO/OOP).
• Strong understanding of the SAP Virtual Data Model (VDM) and Clean Core / ABAP Cloud development paradigms.
• Proficiency in developing and extending SAP Fiori Elements apps using the Flexible Programming Model.
• Hands-on experience with Public APIs, Extension Points, and the SAP Application Extension Methodology (AEM).
• Significant experience using ABAP Development Tools (ADT), including ABAP Cleaner.
• Fluent English skills (minimum B2 level / Business English).

• Proactive mindset in identifying improvements, solving technical problems, and driving topics forward independently.
• Strong workshop facilitation, presentation, and moderation skills.

• Ability to work successfully in international and cross-functional environments.

Nice to have:

• JavaScript and TypeScript skills (for custom logic and Fiori extensions).
• Experience with ABAP Unit testing.
• Knowledge of Freestyle UI5 and version control systems (Git).
• Prior exposure to SAP MDG (Master Data Governance).
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence tools.
• German language skills.
