A leading healthcare solutions provider in Madrid is looking for a DCS Senior Sales Specialist to develop and execute strategic sales plans. The role involves identifying new business opportunities in academic institutions and managing complex sales cycles in the life sciences sector. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences and over 5 years of sales experience, especially with NGS or related products. Strong relationship management skills and technical understanding of workflows are essential. This role is an opportunity to contribute to innovative healthcare solutions.

Formación

DCS Senior Sales Specialist

MGI Tech Co., MGI), a subsidiary of BGI Group, is committed to enabling effective and affordable healthcare solutions for all. Based on its proprietary technology, MGI produces sequencing devices, equipment, consumables, and reagents to support life science research, medicine, and healthcare.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales plans, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals and market conditions.
  • Identify, qualify, and manage new business opportunities in academic research institutions, core facilities and relevant targeted customer segment.
  • Lead complex sales cycles, from opportunity identification through negotiation and successful close.
  • Provide consultative sales support by deeply understanding customer workflows in single-cell, multi-omics, and spatial applications.
  • Participate in conferences, trade shows, and customer workshops to promote product portfolio awareness and strengthen brand presence.
  • Maintain accurate records of opportunities, forecasts, and customer interactions in CRM systems.
  • Build long-term customer relationships through routine visits, pipeline management, and post-sales support coordination.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences (Molecular Biology, Genomics, Biotechnology, or related field); 5+ years of life science sales experience, with at least 2–3 years selling NGS, single-cell, spatial, or multi-omics products.
  • Strong technical understanding of sequencing workflows, including single-cell, spatial transcriptomics, library prep, and data-analysis considerations.
  • Proven ability to work independently, prioritize high-impact opportunities, and manage a complex sales cycle.
  • Working language is English, additional language is beneficial.
