The Ritz-Carlton Tenerife, Abama is seeking a Sales Manager, Weddings & Social Events to lead the luxury weddings and private celebrations in the resort. You will identify opportunities, attract national and international clients, and guide them from enquiry through to contract, delivering personalized experiences aligned with our Gold Standards.

We require a strong commercial mindset, exceptional negotiation and communication skills, and a passion for luxury hospitality.

As Sales Manager, Weddings & Social Events, you will play a key role in developing and growing the resort’s weddings and social events segment. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, attracting both national and international clients, and guiding them throughout the entire sales process, from the initial enquiry through to event confirmation.

We are looking for someone with a strong eye for detail, a commercial mindset, and a passion for luxury and hospitality, who is able to understand each client’s needs and turn them into unique and memorable proposals.

Your Responsibilities Include…

• Identify, develop, and manage new business opportunities within the weddings, private celebrations, and social events segments.
• Develop commercial strategies to increase the volume of weddings and social events while maximizing revenue associated with each celebration.
• Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and initial enquiry through negotiation, contract closure, and post-sale follow-up.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with couples, families, wedding planners, specialist agencies, event organizers, and strategic partners.
• Act as the main commercial point of contact for clients throughout the event planning and contracting process.
• Understand each client’s needs, expectations, and preferences in order to create personalized proposals and tailor-made experiences.
• Prepare commercial proposals, quotations, contracts, and presentations tailored to each wedding or social event.
• Conduct sales visits, site inspections, and resort presentations, showcasing the property’s venues, accommodation, culinary offering, and event possibilities.
• Present the different venue, menu, experience, and service options available for each event in an engaging and compelling way.
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the resort, its facilities, services, and culinary offering in order to convey the essence of The Ritz-Carlton Tenerife, Abama to clients.
• Identify trends within the luxury wedding and social events market, as well as new business opportunities and potential markets.
• Develop and maintain a strong network of contacts with wedding planners, agencies, suppliers, and relevant industry professionals.
• Participate in trade fairs, workshops, specialist events, presentations, and networking activities related to the Weddings & Social Events segment.
• Work closely with the Events, Catering, Operations, Revenue Management, and other departments to ensure a seamless transition from the sales process through to event execution.
• Ensure continuous and effective communication with all parties involved so that every contracted detail is delivered in line with the client’s expectations.
• Follow up on leads, opportunities, and conversions, keeping all commercial information up to date in the corporate systems.
• Prepare sales reports, forecasts, performance analyses, and target tracking for management.
• Actively contribute to achieving and exceeding the revenue targets established for the weddings and social events segment.
• Represent the values, image, and luxury standards of The Ritz-Carlton in every interaction with clients and partners.

What we are looking for…

• Previous experience in sales, events, weddings, hospitality, luxury hospitality, wedding planning, or business development.
• Excellent commercial, negotiation, and communication skills.
• A strong customer focus and genuine sensitivity to clients’ needs and expectations.
• A passion for creating personalized experiences and attention to every detail.
• A dynamic, organized, proactive, and results-oriented approach.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build long-term relationships based on trust.
• The ability to manage multiple opportunities and events simultaneously while maintaining a high level of organization and follow-up.
• The ability to work confidently with clients from different nationalities and cultures and thrive in an international luxury environment.
• Experience using CRM systems, hotel management systems, and sales tools.
• Enjoy working cross-functionally with different departments to deliver an exceptional client experience.
• Fluency in Spanish and English; additional languages will be highly valued.
• Flexibility and availability to participate in sales visits, events, trade fairs, and networking activities.
• A valid work permit for Spain.
