A leading coatings company is seeking a motivated Sales Account Manager to drive growth and manage customer relationships across Spain and Portugal. The role requires strong commercial and technical skills, with the expectation of extensive travel. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in sales account management, fluency in Spanish and English, and a proven track record of meeting sales targets. Formación

  • At least 5 years in Sales Account Management, preferably in technical or industrial sectors.
  • Strong understanding of both commercial and technical aspects.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English (written and spoken).
  • Proficient in computer applications and implementing corrective actions.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (50%+ of the time).

Are you passionate about driving growth and building strong customer relationships? We are looking for a highly motivated Sales Account Manager to lead and expand our Household Product Coating portfolio within the Packaging Coatings Group across Spain and Portugal.

This home-office-based role combines technical expertise with commercial strategy, offering you the opportunity to make a real impact in a dynamic market.

In this role you will:

  • Deliver Excellence: Ensure customer quality and service expectations are consistently met, reducing complaints and enhancing satisfaction.
  • Drive Growth: Help us achieve and exceed ambitious sales and profitability targets.
  • Expand Opportunities: Identify and grow sales with key accounts and new prospects.
Qualifications
  • At least 5 years in Sales Account Management, preferably in technical or industrial sectors.
  • Strong understanding of both commercial and technical aspects, with the ability to deliver value-added solutions that meet customer and company requirements.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English (written and spoken).
  • Proficient in computer applications, data analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Quick, independent decision-making and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (50%+ of the time) across Spain and Portugal.
Responsibilities
  • Achieve commercial targets aligned with business strategies, including new business development, price adjustments, claim negotiations, inventory control, and accurate forecasting.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, purchasing contacts, and technical teams at customer sites to deliver maximum value.
  • Collaborate with Customer Technical Service teams to arrange line trials and provide technical assistance for product implementation.
  • Develop and execute annual sales plans and strategic account plans in partnership with the Business Director and cross-functional teams.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand market share for household product coatings in Spain and Portugal.
  • Prioritize and support scale-up trials for new technologies to ensure successful market entry.
  • Prepare monthly sales and market reports, monitor competitive activity, and share insights with the Business Director.
  • Attend trade shows, seminars, and deliver technical training to customers as needed.
  • Handle product complaints, coordinate resolution between technical teams and customers, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain relationships with brand owners, co-suppliers, and equipment manufacturers to optimize coating performance.
