The Institut de Recerca Biomèdica de Lleida, Fundació Dr. Pifarré (IRBLleida) is seeking a candidate to support the Scientific Technical Service (SCT) of the Animal housing facility in the development of activities related to researchers' projects.

The role requires higher level professional training in health, and knowledge of handling animals for experiments (RD 53/2013 and related regulations), plus English level B1 and Catalan level C1.

Formación

• English level B1 and Catalan level C1 required.
• Experience with rodent research and handling.
• Ability to work in a team and multitask.

Responsabilidades

• Support SCT of the animal housing facility and development of activities for researchers' projects.
• Assist with administrative management of the animal facility.
• Ensure environmental controls and animal welfare compliance.

Offer Description

The selected person will join to support the Scientific Technical Service (SCT) of the Animal housing facility in the development of activities related to the researchers' research projects.

Knowledge

• Complementary training in functions a, b and c, according to RD 53/2013.
• Continuing education courses related to the profile of the call.
• English level B1.
• Catalan level C1.

Experience

• Demonstrable experience in the use of rodents in research or teaching activities.
• Experience in the environmental control of facilities and air conditioning.
• Experience in the administrative management of rodent colonies.
• Experience in the use of the computer program ANIBIO 8.00

Competences

• Organisational skills, multitasking.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Proactivity and ability to resolve.

Specific Requirements

• Higher level professional training in the health field.
• Certificate accrediting the qualification to handle animals for experimental purposes, including the ability to carry out the euthanasia of animals and experimental procedures, in accordance with current regulations (RD 53/2013, modified by RD 1386/2018, and Order ECC/566/2015) or, failing that, a diploma from the courses that accredit the training of the corresponding modules
