Q ENERGY in Madrid leads renewable energy innovations across solar, wind and hybrid projects. This Protection & Control Engineer role delivers design, development, integration and commissioning of control/instrumentation systems, PPC, and SCADA for photovoltaic plants, wind farms, BESS and hybrids.
The candidate will model, simulate and validate protection schemes, coordinate with plant/substation teams, and support FAT/SAT testing with comprehensive documentation and travel across Spain.
Formación
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Automation, Industrial or Telecommunications Engineering.
- At least 3 years of experience in industrial control, SCADA, PPC or electrical protection.
- Experience in commissioning renewable plants and/or substations.
- Strong technical expertise in PLC programming, AutoCAD, ETAP, Digsilent, PSSE or similar.
- Fluency in Spanish and English; travel across Spain required.
Responsabilidades
- Design of Control Systems for renewable generation plants: photovoltaic, wind, BESS, or hybrids.
- Integration of the PPC with Plant and Substation SCADA Systems and TSOs.
- Define PPC suppliers and ensure compliance with standards.
- PPC design and configuration with redundancy where needed.
- Integrate with electrical systems and protection schemes; coordination of protection.
- Modelling and simulation using DIgSILENT, PSCAD, ETAP or MATLAB/Simulink.
- FAT/SAT testing and commissioning to meet specifications.
- Alarm management and event analysis post-commissioning.
- Prepare and review technical documentation for PPC integration.
