Berlitz is seeking a part-time, freelance Spanish instructor to teach live online lessons using the Berlitz Method. You will work from home with a flexible schedule and casual dress code, delivering engaging language instruction to diverse learners.

Responsibilities include lesson preparation, creating a supportive environment for language experimentation, and documenting student progress. Expect a commitment of 15-20 hours per week and access to training and Berlitz platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Teaching experience is a plus but not required.
• Expert-level Spanish and intermediate English.
• Exceptional communication skills.

About The Job

Students come to Berlitz not just to learn a language, but also to gain an understanding of the culture. As a part-time, Freelance Spanish Instructor, you will work in a diverse environment that offers you a flexible schedule and casual dress code. While working with your students, you will use the Berlitz Method of instruction to create an environment where students feel free to experiment with the language and motivate them to achieve their language goals. We provide you with a flexible training course where you will learn how to perform the Berlitz Method. You will also gain access to our platforms and technology which will allow you to deliver successful instruction. This is all you need! We provide the students and support; you provide the instruction.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• Teaching experience is a plus but not required.
• Expert-level Spanish, intermediate English.
• Exceptional communication skills.

Technical requirements:

• A minimum of 15 Mbps download speed / 15 Mbps upload speed.
• A stable wired connection to the internet (Wi-Fi is not sufficient).
• A PC or laptop running Windows 11 or higher, or macOS 11 or higher (Linux does not support our applications).
• A USB headset and a camera.
• For those living in areas where load shedding occurs, it is required to have a backup system to support your devices.
• At least 2 GHz of base processing speed and RAM equal or above 8GB.

“Becoming a Live Online Instructor”: Salary: $8.00 per hour / $6.00 per 45 min unit
