Job summary

SearchApi is seeking an engineer obsessed with breaking through anti-bot systems. You will tackle fingerprinting, TLS handshakes, headless browser detection, and evasion work at scale for a real-time SERP API used by Fortune 500s.

This fully remote role offers ownership, deep technical challenges, and opportunities to push the boundaries of browser internals, network analysis, and evasion tooling. You’ll ship frequent improvements and document findings for the team.

Qualifications

Deep experience with Playwright, Puppeteer, or Selenium internals.
Understanding browser fingerprinting techniques and how to spoof them.
Experience bypassing major anti-bot protections (Cloudflare, Akamai, DataDome, PerimeterX).
Network traffic analysis with common tools.

Responsibilities

Research and implement anti-bot evasion techniques.
Reverse engineer bot detection systems and bypass them.
Work with browser fingerprinting: canvas, WebGL, audio, fonts, navigator properties.
Debug TLS and protocol fingerprinting (JA3/JA4, HTTP/2/3 over QUIC).
Optimize Playwright/Puppeteer configurations for stealth.
Analyze network traffic to understand detection mechanisms.
Build internal tools for testing evasion techniques.
Stay ahead of bot-detection developments.
