Schneider Electric Spain is seeking a Regional Commissioning Engineer for Low Voltage Systems to deliver professional on-site services, including commissioning, diagnostics, and issue resolution for LV switchboards and related equipment.

You will support complex projects across Spain, with extensive international travel, and collaborate with Schneider Electric engineers and partners to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

Formación

• Thorough understanding of electrical principles, low voltage, protection relays, and auto transfer switches.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret procedures, documents, and regulations.
• Willingness to travel internationally for 70% of the time or more.
• At least 5 years’ experience with commissioning or field service activities.
• Experience with LV power distribution products (Schneider Electric or other brands).
• Ability to work independently, analyze challenges, and propose resolutions.
• Strong hands-on mechanical and electrical skills; able to use measurement tools.
• Good software literacy: MS Office, Acrobat, AutoCAD, Power system CX software.

The Regional Commissioning Engineer for Low Voltage Systems delivers professional on‑site services for Schneider Electric for low‑voltage power distribution solutions, including commissioning, on‑site technical diagnostics, and resolution of customer issues. The role primarily supports complex and critical projects, providing advanced troubleshooting and hands‑on expertise for low‑voltage switchboards such as OKKEN and Prisma, as well as associated equipment including Masterpact circuit breakers, compact devices, ATS, power meters, low‑voltage protection relays (Micrologic), and Modbus communication systems.

Location: Spain

Main responsibilities

• Perform Startup & Commissioning on all equipment across the entire low voltage product ranges
• Evaluate units and system's installation & operational conditions
• Ability to perform onsite adjustments to bring the units to the best running conditions
• Be able to identify if the failure is related to a quality issue/ software issue / operation condition issue (Root cause Analysis)
• Work with another Schneider Electric service engineers or partners during site interventions
• Document test results and produce site work reports
• Train Schneider Electric customers on basic operations of the equipment
• Ability to perform preventive & corrective maintenance for LV products

Requirements

• Thorough understanding of electrical principles particularly for low voltage, fundamentals knowledge of automation and protection relays and auto transfer switches
• Must be able to perform duties with general direction, receiving only general guidance with respect to overall objectives.
• Must comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business procedures, professional documents, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
• Willingness to travel internationally for 70% of the working time (and more)

Education and Experience:

• Electrotechnical education (University degree in an advantage)
• At least 5 years’ experience with commissioning an/or field service activities
• Confirmed experience with LV power distribution products (Schneider Electric or other brands)
• Capability to work alone, analyze technical challenges and propose resolutions
• Have excellent mechanical and electrical hands-on skills and capability to use measurements tolls
• Flexibility & Reliability, Focus on technical details & Customer focus, Team player
• Good Software tools literacy: MS Office, Acrobat, AutoCAD, Power system Cx software
