Werfen, a global diagnostics leader with headquarters in Barcelona, Spain, seeks a Systems Engineer to support R&D instruments through installation, maintenance, diagnostics, and upgrades. The role translates lab needs into system requirements and coordinates with engineering, quality, and operations to ensure instrument availability and reliable testing.

The position emphasizes data analysis, troubleshooting, documentation, and clear communication of risks and progress.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical/mechanical engineering or physical sciences (Required).
Valuable: additional degree or advanced training in systems engineering, biomedical engineering, instrumentation, diagnostics, or related fields.

Responsabilités

Act as a technical bridge between scientific development and instrumentation, ensuring instrument and system requirements are understood and communicated.
Perform and support laboratory procedures, experiments, system tests, and troubleshooting activities requiring scientific judgment.
Select methods, contribute to protocols, and support interpretation of experimental and system performance data.
Detect deviations, identify potential causes, and recommend modifications to protocols and workflows.
Support internal instruments through diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and upgrades; coordinate repairs.
Compile and interpret experimental data; prepare graphs, summaries, and reports.
